Saladworks CEO and President Patrick Sugrue discusses attracting job seekers
For the first time since 2000, the number of available jobs exceeded the number of job seekers, the Labor Department said recently - and that tight labor market is the reason growing franchise brands like Saladworks are adjusting their strategy to best attract and retain good workers. The Wall Street Journal recently reported on the issue, and spoke to Saladworks CEO Patrick Sugrue who told them that they have started raising wages about 5% and relaxed standards on things like tattoos, piercings and dress code. “If you tell someone they can’t have Friday off for prom, they’ll quit,” Sugrue told WSJ. “They know they can find another job on Monday.” Read more here.
